The result will see Reds boss Jurgen Klopp or Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino end their wait for silverware at their respective clubs.

With both sides known for playing attacking football, it is set to be an entertaining final.

Below, talkSPORT looks at no.5 on our list of iconic Champions League final moments as Gareth Bale turned the tie around for Real Madrid against Liverpool in 2018.

No.5 – Gareth Bale’s overhead kick

Bale was a surprise omission in Zinedine Zidane’s starting XI for the second Champions League final in a row. Isco started ahead of the Welshman, but failed to make an impact in the game.

Karim Benzema had given Real the lead after Loris Karius inadvertently threw the ball against him to give the Frenchman a tap-in on 51 minutes.

But Sadio Mane’s strike just five minutes after Benzema’s opener had Liverpool level.

With 61 minutes on the clock, Bale replaced Isco and produced a bit of magic to win a third successive Champions League trophy for his club.

After being on the pitch for just three minutes, Marcelo’s cross was directed behind the Welshman, whose acrobatic overhead kick gave Karius no chance.

Bale’s strike will go down as one of the greatest Champions League final goals of all time.

And the former Tottenham star wasn’t finished there. He took aim from 30 yards as a reckless Karius fumbled his speculative effort into the net.

Unsurprisingly, Bale was named as the official man of the match.

The 2019 Champions League final will be live on talkSPORT at 20:00 on Saturday 1 June.
