Chelsea loanee Tiemoue Bakayoko is reportedly considering his AC Milan future after suffering racial abuse.
The France midfielder was targeted by Lazio fans during Milan’s Coppa Italia semi-final defeat last Wednesday.Â
Prior to kick-off, around 50 Lazio supporters displayed a banner reading ‘Honour to Benito Mussolini’ – the Italian fascist dictator.
Racist chants of ‘this Banana is for Bakayoko’ were believed to be heard from fans throughout the clash.
Lazio released a statement condemning the vile abuse.
It read: “SS Lazio clearly distance ourselves from behaviour and manifestations that do not in any way correspond to the values of sport that this club has promoted and supported for 119 years.
“Lazio also reject and contest the simplistic tendency of the media to consider the entire Lazio fanbase responsible for the actions of a few isolated elements, for motivation that has nothing to do with passion for sport.

Italian publication La Repubblica report Bakayoko has been ‘very hurt’ by the abuse.
The 24-year-old, who joined Chelsea in a £40million deal from Monaco in 2017, has enjoyed a successful season in Milan after a slow start, playing 39 times so far.
Bakayoko admitted in February it would be a ‘dream’ to make his loan move a permanent one when the transfer window reopens this summer.
He said: “It’s a matter for Milan and Chelsea.

“Staying at Milan is my dream, that’s the only thought in my mind, but I have a contract with Chelsea.
“I just want to finish the season in fourth place, then we’ll think about it.â€
Gennaro Gattuso, the Milan coach, downplayed rumours Bakayoko will turn down a permanent switch ahead of Sunday’s defeat by Torino.
“He is on good form,” said Gattuso. “Those horrible songs hurt but he was prepared for them. he behaved admirably and he did not lose his head.
“He looks in good form, that he wants to leave is something [the media] are saying. He’s had a good season and he feels good in Italy.”
Bakayoko is the latest player to be racially targeted this season, with Kalidou Koulibaly, Raheem Sterling, Danny Rose and Callum Hudson-Odoi also suffering abuse throughout 2018/19.
