Oleksander Zinchenko maintains incredible record to help Manchester City win the Premier League

Oleksander Zinchenko is an unlikely Manchester City record holder.

As City retained their Premier League crown with a 4-1 win against Brighton, the 22-year-old midfielder maintained a streak that has seen him win EVERY one of the games he has played in.

The Ukraine international played the full 90 minutes at the Amex Stadium where goals from Sergio Aguero Aymeric Laporte, Riyad Mahrez and Ilkay Gundogan sealed victory.

And of those who have appeared in five or more games, Zinchenko has a 100 per cent record.

In fact, it was his 22nd Premier League match without defeat and he has proven to be a solid acquisition after being drafted in to provide cover for Benjamin Mendy and Fabian Delph.

He arrived from Ukraine Premier League side Ufa in 2016, but was loaned out to PSV and Jong PSV before making his debut in the Carabao Cup against Wolves in October 2017.

Zinchenko – and possibly a few fans – will hope he is in the starting XI when City travel to Wembley to take on Watford in the FA Cup final.
