Leaked images of Manchester United’s home kit for next season have begun to circulate.
The Red Devils, who have a lucrative kit deal with adidas, appear to be reverting back to a simpler design for Ole Gunnar Solskaer’s first full season as manager.
Predominantly red, the images show a black trim around the collar and a completely red design for the rest of the shirt.
A blog by the name of Todo Sobre Camisetas (which means ‘All About Shirts’ in English) has obtained the pictures which also feature several poignant tributes to United’s treble-winning season in 1999.
The badge is reportedly set to feature a black crest around the outside, with the badge itself in gold – similar to the one from 20 years ago.
On the sleeves of the shirt, there is a small icon which says ’90 + 3′ in homage to Solskjaer’s winning goal against Bayern Munich in the Champions League Final.
And there are also tags for Teddy Sheringham’s equaliser from the same game as well as the dates of when all three trophies were won.
A return to white shorts from black is likely to be welcomed by fans, as this means the normally black socks will work in perfect contrast and have a more classic feel.
With rivals Liverpool releasing their confirmed kit for next season on Thursday, do not be surprised if the Red Devils confirm their kit for next season sooner rather than later.
