The Rams will be playing Premier League football next season if they beat Aston Villa.

Bundesliga club RB Leipzig have been linked with a summer move for Mount, who could follow in Jadon Sancho’s footsteps by becoming the next Englishman to ply his trade in Germany.

When asked about Leipzig’s interest last month, Lampard said: “That’s his call.

“It depends how Chelsea see it and how he sees it. It depends what is the best plan for him.

“What we can say is that the year he’s had – he’s had a great year which has put him on a big step up the ladder.”
