Fans took to social media to mock Eric Dier for his performance in Tottenham Hotspur’s defeat to West Ham United on Saturday afternoon.
The England international was one of a host of lethargic players, but was particularly chastised for his failure to stop Mark Noble from dictating the game in north London.
West Ham became the first opposition team to win at Tottenham’s new stadium after a Michail Antonio goal gave them a 1-0 victory.
Spurs had not conceded a goal in their previous four games at their new home, but Antonio’s second-half strike proved the difference between the two sides.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men looked lacklustre and lacked spark and the boss will know much better will be required when Ajax visit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Champions League semi-final first leg on Tuesday.
Noble acted as metronome for the visitors, who completely dominated after struggling in the first half.

Cute in his passing and confident on the ball, the 31-year-old exuded confidence and was a calming influence for the visitors.
Alongside Declan Rice, Noble controlled the midfield with consummate ease to claim a famous win.
With Frenkie De Jong and Donny van de Beek up next for Spurs, Pochettino will be hoping for a big response from Dier. Check out the best Tweets from fans below!
